The Mufti of the Stavropol Territory and Karachay-Cherkessia Ismail Verdiev calls for to abolish the borders in the Caucasus.
"We must follow Europe and as the European Union abolish all borders in the Caucasus. Then there will not be any conflicts in the Caucasus," the Mufti of the Stavropol Territory and Karachay-Cherkessia, Ismail Haji Berdiev, said.
He said that the Caucasian peoples must live according to their traditions and customs and not to violate them. "Each republic has its own problems. We all want justice to triumph. We must look for ways out of this situation, not just shouting about it," Berdiev said.
The Mufti of the Stavropol Territory and Karachay-Cherkessia has awarded the chairman of the Clerical Office of Caucasus Muslims Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazadeh with a special order. Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazadeh celebrates his sixtieth-anniversary and thirtieth-anniversary of his activity as Sheikhulislam.
Before, the Russian Prime-Minister Vladimir Putin, Chechnya's ex-President Ahmed Kadyrov, and the incumbent president of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov have been awarded with this medal.
It is awarded to individuals for their contribution to the development of peace in the Caucasus.
