Heydar Aliyev Foundation organizes Azerbaijani Cultural Days at European Parliament: PHOTO

For the first time the Heydar Aliyev Foundation organized Azerbaijani Culture Days at the European Parliament.

The art and ethnographic miniatures of Azerbaijani artists and special editions by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation were exhibited in Brussels Nov. 9-13, the foundation told Trend .

A concert of Azerbaijani singers was also organized, and Azerbaijani cuisine prepared for guests.

European Parliament Deputy President Libor Roucek and Azerbaijani Ambassador to Belgium and the EU Emin Eyyubov made a speech at the opening of the event.

The ambassador read an address by Heydar Aliyev Foundation President, Goodwill Ambassador to UNESCO and ISESCO Mehriban Aliyeva. Aliyeva wrote that the event is a sign of the EU's interest in Azerbaijani culture as a nation on the crossroads of Eastern and Western civilizations.

During the event, young Mugham singers presented folk music and the Stars of Baku ensemble performed folk dances.

Participants lauded Azerbaijani Cultural Days and thanks the European Parliament.
