Leading Azerbaijani mass media to participate in European and Asian Media Forum in Moscow

Fourth CIS and Baltic States National Media Forum- European and Asian Media Forum organized by Russian news agency RIA Novosti will be held in Moscow on Dec. 8-10.

Leading public and private print and electronic media heads will gather from all over the post-Soviet States. Azerbaijan Presidential Administration Section Head Fuad Akhundoff, political scientist Rashad Rzakuliyev, as well as heads of the TREND News Agency, Azertac, Novosti Azerbaijan, ANS TV, Public TV, the Echo and Novoe Vremya newspapers and others will represent Azerbaijan in the Forum.   

The meeting in large aims at establishing partnership in journalistic community to withstand forces aspiring to make the press an instrument of nationalist and extremist targets.

Leading CIS and Baltic States media leaders will make speeches at a plenary session on different themes, including "Post-Soviet Media and Social Development. New professional approaches and tendentious", "Eurasia: regional security Q&A", "Multimedia media - new production and information dissemination technologies", "Print Media: how to keep up with events", "Media and intercultural cooperation problems", "Pervasive TV: a program for tomorrow", "Role of personality in multimedia", "Journalism in the information society: tolerance and professional ethics problems", "Global crisis and media" etc.

Under the forum it is planned to hold a panel session on "Who makes the weapons of the press? The nature of the information resistance". Simultaneously, master classes will be held for participants.

Final meeting will be held on "Joint media area: the sides' responsibility"
