Needs to establish academy to train professional broadcasters in Azerbaijan: chairman of broadcasting council

Azerbaijan, Baku, November 19 / Trend , A.Huseynbala /

It needs to establish a special academy to training professional broadcasters, the Chairman of the National Broadcasting Council of Azerbaijan said.

"There is a moment with television presenter, who does not satisfy us. The main problem is associated with the training of presenters. Now there are not such people who would be an example amongst television and radio presenters. The biggest problem is in their literary language. It is necessary to establish a special academy to eliminate the problem in this regard," the Chairman of the National Council Nushirevan Maharramli said during his speech at the courses on the topic of professional development of tele-radio journalists within the "Improvement of professional level of tele-radio journalists" project, organized jointly by the State Media Support Fund at the President of Azerbaijan and Radio Broadcasting Council.

According to Maharramli, the problems of broadcasters include speech defect, the use of foreign words.

"There are rules for the use of literary language, prepared by the Council in 2003, but most televisions and radios do not know them. One of the problems is connected with the fact that the presenters too freely behave on the ether," said the chairman.

The Council does not interfere in the activities of any television, said Maharramli.

"If this continues, separate channels and telecasts will be investigated and they will be warned," said the chairman of the Council.
