Azerbaijan, Baku, November 19 / Trend , G.Bagirov / A trial began in Azerbaijan over crime boss accused of premeditated murder attempt.
On Nov. 19, the Court on Heinous Crimes held a trial on Shirinov Suleyman, known in the criminal world as "Lotu Suleyman". Giving testimony at the trial, Shirinov did not recognize himself guilty.
He is accused under article 94,1.6 (murder attempt) of the Criminal Code. According to the accusation, on November 19, 1997 Shirinov, shooting with a Makarov pistol at Abuzar Abuzarov, engaged in kidnapping, wounded him.
Hiding from the investigation for 11 years, Shirinov was arrested in 2008.
