Azerbaijani youth visits Romania

A delegation of 15 Azerbaijani youths paid an eight-day visit to Romania upon the invitation of Bucharest's second sector mayor and with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The delegation visited Bucharest following a trip to Baku by Romanian youths Nov. 2-9. The trip was organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation with assistance of its representative office in Romania.

The Azerbaijani youth visited Bucharest and other Romanian cities, and became acquainted with the country's history and culture. On the first day of the visit, the delegation was received by Bucharest Second Second Mayor Nikolae Ontsanu. The delegation also visited the Azerbaijani Embassy in Romania, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's local office, and the Heydar Aliyev Park in Bucharest. The youths laid flowers on the bust of the former Azerbaijani president.

The delegation also became familiarized with the country's educational system while visiting the George Kosbuk National College, Mihai Viteazul College and Yuliya Hasdeu College, and met the local youth parliament. At a meeting with members of the VIP Youth Center Association for Reconstruction and Professional Innovations, the Azerbaijani and Romanian youths discussed issues of mutual interest.
