The international conference on "Ethic Principles in CIS media outlets: issues, tendencies" can be held in Baku, Azerbaijani Press Council Chairman Aflatun Amashov who is on a visit to Austria told media.
The Chairman said that the meetings of the various media outlets operating in Austrian capital Vienna were profitable. "This initiative occurred after mutual discussions," Amashov said.
"Holding the event in Baku is important both for Azerbaijan and all CIS countries. The Azerbaijani Press Council has been operating for six years. The organization has enough experience in settlement of interrelations between media and public, media and authority."
The Press Council has not been developed sufficiently in other CIS countries. From this point of view it is important to explore experience of the organization's activity of the same name in Azerbaijan. Certainly, there are faults and shortcomings. Many areas should be studied. In this regard, it would be interesting to study Austrian experts' opinions, as well as get familiarize with rich Austrian experience in this sphere ", he said.
