The Iranian Media Control Group of the Iranian Culture Ministry issued a decision to close the well-known Həyate No newspaper, the Fars news agency reported. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khomeini's brother, Hadi Khomeini, is the owner of the paper.
The paper was closed for not following its aim, the news agency reported. It is unclear if the publication will reopen. Həyate No was famous with its critical articles toward the government.
Hadi Khomeini is a member of left religious force.
