Warsaw hosts international conference devoted to Mammad Emin Rasulzade

The 8th International Conference on Caucasus Studies devoted to 125th birthday of Mammad Emin Resulzade, one of the founders of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR), began in Warsaw on Dec. 8.

The participants in the two-day conference include scientists from Poland, Azerbaijan, Georgia, U.S, France, Germany, and Turkey which is being held on Dec. 8-9 at the University of Warsaw, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Poland said.

In his opening remarks Warsaw University Rector Vladimir Lengauer spoke about the Azerbaijani-Polish relations, Resulzade's role in the development of these relations.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Poland Vilayat Guliyev called the event dedicated to Rasulzade as a remarkable fact.

The participants of the conference were given a scientific report of Columbia University's professor Tadeush Svyatochovski on Resulzade's role in Azerbaijan's political life.
