A court in Baku passed a sentence on prisoners convicted of murder in an Azerbaijani jail.
The Azerbaijani Heinous Crimes Court sentenced 23-year-old Habibulla Habibullayev to 14 years and 21-year-old Emin Huseynov to 15 years in prison.
They were charged with Articles 120.2.1, 120.2.4, 120.2.6, 120.2.11 (Premeditated Murder) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
The accused killed their cellmate, 21-year-old Elvin Hasanov June 26, striking him with a blunt object.
Huseynov was serving a six-year sentence by Articles 150.2.1, 150.2.4 (Sexual Assault). Habibullaev was serving seven years by Article 177.2 (Theft), 180.2 (Robbery), 234.1 (Illegal Purchase of Narcotics).
Hasanov was serving five years under Article 332.3 (Infringement of Rules on Relations Between Military Personnel).
