On Dec. 28, Khazar University hosted a meeting with Azerbaijani doctor of philology, Professor Gazanfar Pashayev and the presentation of his book "Studies on Nasimi". The book contains articles published in various years about the life and work of the eminent poet and thinker Nasimi.
Gazanfar Pashaev informed Azerbaijanis of Turks living in Iraq, MP Ganira Pashayeva said at the presentation.
"If during the Soviet period, we were a bit aware of our brothers and sisters living in Southern Azerbaijan, then due to Gazanfar Pashayev, we learned that millions of our brothers and sisters live in Iraq," said Pashayeva.
According to the MP, the Professor's merit is also that he familiarized Turks living in Iraq with Azerbaijani literature.
