We need to prevent early marriage for reducing divorce rate, Azerbaijani MP said
"In 2009, 8,000 divorce cases were registered, the main reason of which are early marriages. We need to increase marriage age of girls in the legislation to prevent this problem," Social Policy Committee head Hadi Rajabli said during the round-table dedicated to issue on the 'Azerbaijani youth - yesterday, today, tomorrow'
According to the legislation, girls' marriage age comprised 17-year old
"Some 5,000 of total 90,000 of girls got married in the age up to 18-year old," Rajabli added
