Georgia, Tbilisi, Feb. 3 / Trend J.Babayeva /
The Congress of Georgia's Azerbaijanis (CGA) established an Azerbaijani-Georgian and Georgian-Azerbaijani translation center.
"Tbilisi has several translations centers, but they are not professional," CGA Chairman Ali Babayev told Trend . "The aim of the new center is to improve the quality of translations of books, journals, documents from the Azerbaijani language into the Georgian language and vice versa."
The translations will be led by professionals, researchers and professors, Babayev said.
About 20 Azerbaijani NGOs established the CGA in 2008 in Tbilisi. The purposes of the Congress are promoting the integration of Georgia's Azerbaijanis into the Georgian society and study ways to address their problems.
According to unofficial information, approximately 500,000 Azerbaijanis live in Georgia, mainly, in Kvemo-Kartli (Borchali).
