The group of Azerbaijan's national football squad in qualifying for Euro-2012 is not simple, told Trend on Sunday by phone from Poland the general secretary of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) Elkhan Mammadov.
"We expect very interesting games. We consider Germany's national team as the favourite of the group", he said.
According to the draw which was held Sunday in Warsaw, Azerbaijan took place in Group A with Kazakhstan, Belgium, Austria, Turkey and Germany.
According to the General Secretary of AFFA, Azeri team is familiar with its rivals.
"Azerbaijan squad at different times played into the same groups with Germany, Turkey, Austria, Belgium and Kazakhstan. After good preparation by September, the Azerbaijani team must achieve the desired results", said Elkhan Mammadov.
