The Heinous Crimes Court sentenced Azerbaijani National Depository Center deposition department head Javanshir Hajiyev to five years imprisonment
He is accused under Article 179.3.2 (assignment or waste in large size) of the Criminal Code.
During the investigation, Anti-corruption department, together with the State Committee for Securities revealed that Hajiyev using his position misappropriated 193,702 units of privatized vouchers (48,425,5 units privatization of state shares) worth 861.973.9 manat, which were kept in the treasury department entrusted to him the deposit department, and thus he robed the treasury department, during his activity terms from June 2006 to February 2009 .
Criminal case was filed March 5, 2009. The relevant agencies conducted investigation in connection with this, Hajiyev was arrested
