The trial of an individual accused of committing premeditated murder in Russia started in Azerbaijan.
Shamkir region resident Mubariz Guliyev's criminal case began today at the Baku Heinous Crimes Court. He pleaded not guilty.
The court's hearing will continue until Feb. 24.
Guliyev is accused of killing Ganja region resident Elchin Kazimov. After the crime, he is said to have returned to Azerbaijan to escape the investigation.
Guliyev was arrested in December 2009.
