The trial over criminals accused of illegal drug trafficking from Iran to Azerbaijan began.
Prosecutor demanded to sentence members of organized gang, engaged in illegal drug trafficking, at the Heinous Crimes Court today.
The prosecutor demanded to sentence Rasi Atakishiyev, Humbat Talishov, Vasif Hasanov to 15 years, Vasif Yusifzade, Ilham Gozalov, Navai Khamidov to 11 years, Shahmar Imranov and Intigam Gasimov to nine years, Jahangir Guliyev to 10 years, Zulfugar Asadov to 14 years, Nasib Hasanov to 13 years imprisonment.
They were arrested March 09, 2009. A large amount of heroin and hashish was found from them.
They were charged under articles 206.2 (smuggling), 234.4.1, 234.4.2, 234.4.3 (illegal purchase, possession and carrying drugs) of the Criminal Code.
