Today, the international scientific conference dedicated to the 87-th anniversary of outstanding scientist-ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva has been held at the National Center of Ophthalmology named after academician Zarifa Aliyeva, AzerTaj state news agency reported.
Specialists from Russia, Turkey, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Italy, Ukraine and Israel attend the conference.
Azerbaijani Minister of Health Oktay Shiraliyev, director of the national ophthalmology center named after academician Z. Aliyeva Elmar Gasimov, Chairman of Turkish Ophthalmologic Society Suna Duman, academician of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences Alevtina Brovkina and others shared their memories about Zarifa Aliyev at the opening of the conference.
