The Ministry of Youth and Sports and the State Securities Committee will control the sweepstakes in Azerbaijan, Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov told Trend.
"The ministry will act to control this process following the adoption of the relevant provisions", minister said.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports created the department Azeridmanservis. It will conduct activity of totalizator together with Turkish company İnteltex.
"Azinteltek" company operates to open points for getting stakes. The ministry is interested in the allocation of funds for the development of sport in the country, rather than creating and implementing this process," Rahimov said.
It was reported that over 300 bookmakers center will be opened by August 2010 throughout the country.
The state share in the totalizator's profit will hit 70 percent, AFFA - 30 percent.
