Azerbaijan captured five gold and three silver medals at the Youth Olympics Games.
Wrestlers Murad Bazarov, Elman Mukhtarov and Ali Magomedabirov came away with gold medals in the 100-kilogram category, as did wrestler Patimat Bagomedova in the 52-kilogram category and weightlifter Nijat Rahimov.
Wrestler Kenan Guliyev won a silver medal in the 54-kilogram category.
Boxers Elvina Isayeva and Salman Alizadeh won silver medals in the 57- and 48-kilogram categories, respectively.
The Youth Olympic Games are held from Aug. 14 to 26.
Over 3,500 athletes are competing.
