Azerbaijani diaspora organizations make joint statement on murder of 13-year-old girl by Armenians

Azerbaijan, Baku, 19 July /Trend, K.Zarbaliyeva/

Azerbaijani diaspora organizations have made a joint statement regarding the murder of 13-year-old girl by the Armenians.

"The act of vandalism committed by Armenia in the Alibeyli village of Azerbaijan's Tovuz district killed 13-year-old Shahmaliyeva Aygun Zireddin. This is not the first act of vandalism committed by Armenia against children," the statement said.

Diaspora organizations stated that in addition to the state agencies of Azerbaijan, they will also present this act of vandalism to the attention of the international community.

"Several years ago, a similar incident took place in this area. The toy, dropped into the river by the Armenian side, exploded in the hands of children, killing two children, one was wounded. On March 8, the Armenian sniper killed a 9-year-old resident of the Orta Garvend village of Agdam district Fariz Badalov, when he was playing in yard.

The last case is a good example of the deliberate policy of Armenia aimed at killing defenseless children. With regret it must be noted that the indifferent attitude of the co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group to the vandalism of Armenia has led to the fact that Armenia continues to commit such acts against humanity, the statement said.

Diaspora organizations believe that the OSCE Minsk Group that implements mission of mediator in resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as the international organizations should strongly condemn and demand punishing the instigators of this accident.

"Serious pressure mechanisms should be introduced with regards to Armenia in connection with the accident. Otherwise, we urge the Government of Azerbaijan to resume military operations and rebuff occupant Armenia," the statement said.

The statement was signed by the German-Azerbaijani Society, the Finnish-Azerbaijani Society and the Association of Igdir against unreasonable demands of the Armenians.
