Azerbaijan may adopt a law on holy places and places of pilgrimage, MP Nizami Jafarov told Trend.
"There are memorable places, memorial monuments, which include the holy places and places of pilgrimage, and even individual graves in every region of Azerbaijan.There is the tomb of the prophet in the area of Beylagan, the grave of Amara in Absheron. Events, about
which there are legends also referred to the culture and morality, so they must be saved." Jafarov said.
Executive agencies will be instructed to draw up lists of these monuments, to work on reconstruction and recognition of the society during the preparation of the draft, the chairman of the committee said. "Consultations will be held with the executive bodies of the regions of Caucasus Muslims Office and State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations," Jafarov said.
