Department of Nuclear Technology will be opened in Baku State University in the future, Director of the Institute of Radiation Problems (IRP) of the National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Adil Garibov told Trend.
Garibov said, a memorandum in the field of joint research and training will be signed between the Institute and the BSU. The two organizations will join forces in the field of nuclear science in accordance with this document.
The BSU will prepare staff for the IPR in accordance with the memorandum. Doctoral students will prepare jointly. Courses in the BSU and IPR will be created for students and scholars. Specialists of IPR will work at the departments of Nuclear Science at BSU.
Departments of physics and chemistry accounts 95-99 percent of human resources in nuclear science, Garibov said.
"There is a great human potential at the BSU and we will use it. BSU will also be able to take advantage of unique hardware, available in the institute. PRI uses the apparatus of BSU, but with the signing of the document the cooperation will be formalized," Garibov said.
