The Karbala province's administration called on the Foreign Ministry and Interior Ministry of the country to simplify the entry of foreign pilgrims into Iraq, Iraqi newspaper Aswat al-Iraq said on Friday.
According to the Karbala administration head Amaladdin al-Har, simplifying the entry of pilgrims into Iraq will contribute to the growth of the country's income from religious tourism.
Al-Har also noted that earlier that simplification of the process of issuing visas to Iranian citizens led to a sharp increase of pilgrims from this country.
