A meeting with a delegation from Uruguay has been held at the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations, the ministry website said on Monday.
Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations, colonel-general Kamaladdin Heydarov met with special envoy, ProSecretary of the Office of the President of Uruguay Diego Canepa.
Stressing the importance of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uruguay in the field of emergency management, Heydarov informed the guest about work conducted in the field of emergency and emergency aftermath management in the country and the activities of the agencies and departments under the ministry.
Diego Canepa, in turn noted good opportunities for the development of relations between the state institutions of the two countries.
The sides also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
