The Azerbaijani government has been working to attract young people to the constituencies, Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov told journalists on Saturday.
The minister said that the operations are conducted in Azerbaijan to attract young people, who will vote for the first time, to the constituencies.
"Some 600,000 young people will vote for the first time in the presidential elections to be held in Azerbaijan on October 9," he said. "Our primary responsibility is to attract the youth for the constituencies. The various activities are conducted in Baku and regions. The social video clips will be demonstrated on TV and advertising on radio soon."
The presidential elections will be held in Azerbaijan on October 9.
The previous presidential elections were held on October 15, 2008.
The presidential elections in Azerbaijan are held every five years.
