The lowest ever temperature was registered in the eastern provinces of Turkey, especially in Kars, Turkish news agency Anadolu reported on Feb. 4.

The level of 35 degrees below zero was registered in the province of Kars, whilst it was 22 degrees below zero in the province of Agri. The depth of snow in some provinces is one metre, according to the report.

Weather forecasters predict that the cold and frosty weather will be continue in Turkey until the end of the week.
