Bakhtiari tribes held protests in several cities of the country against broadcasting of the Ancient Lands film in Iran on Sunday, according to Tabnak news portal.
The protests were held in Isfahan, Dezful, Ize, Shahr -Kord and Aligudarze.
The protesters stress that the insulting remarks were used against Bakhtiari tribes in the film shot by famous Iranian director Kamal Tabrizi. They also demand to stop this film broadcasting.
Iran's Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli said that the issue of this film broadcasting will be reconsidered, according to the information.
Head of Iran's state television Ezatollah Zarghami stressed that he warned his deputy. He added that the respect for all tribes, including Bakhtiari is one of the undisputed principles of television.
