Novruz celebrations started in Turkish city of Istanbul, Anadolu agency reported on March 22.
Some streets will be closed down in the city as part of the events to be held, according to the report.
Some 20,000 police officers will work in an enhanced service mode as part of the security measures during the events, according to the report.
Yesterday Novruz holidays were held in many Turkish cities, especially in Kars, Diyarbakir and Van regions.
