Jewish lobby's assistance to Azerbaijani diaspora increases: state committee chairman

Azerbaijan, Baku, July 6 /Trend News, A.Huseynbala/

Azerbaijan has a giant diaspora in Israel, the chairman of the Azerbaijani state committee on diaspora said.

"The Israeli president's visit to Azerbaijan in late June and importance which President Ilham Aliyev attaches to the Azerbaijani-Israeli relations inspire the diaspora in Israel more. And as a result, the Jewish lobby's assistance to the Azerbaijani diaspora considerably increases," Head of the State Committee Nazim Ibrahimov told journalists on July 6.

The Azerbaijani people in Israel have established the Azerbaijani-Israeli international association (Aziz).

"This organization unites Jews and Azerbaijanis leaving Azerbaijan. Israel fully supports the association's activity," the chairman of the state committee said.

The Aziz organization conducts its activity regarding Azerbaijan's national interests, he said.

"As you know, sometime "Armenian genocide" issue is included in the Israeli parliament's agenda. In these cases, the association expresses its position and always achieves success," Ibrahimov said.

The Azerbaijani-Israeli international organization was founded in April 2007. The organization unites over 40,000 people.
