The Azerbaijan Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry fined legal entities and individuals 1.45 million manat for legal violations over the first 11 months of 2009. A total of 220,000 manat have been paid so far, the ministry told Trend News today

Fines for environmental damage totaled 1.7 million manat and 63,800 manat have been paid.

Fines for efficient water use violations were 1.75 manat and 17,300 have been paid. 

Fines for air pollution were 275,200 manat and 60,900 manat have been paid.
