The Azerbaijani government attaches great importance to the education of young people in leading universities of the world.
"The Azerbaijani president decreed the country's youth to study in the world's most leading universities and on returning home, they to serve the country's prosperity," Head of the Azerbaijani Presidential Department for Public-Political Issues, Ali Hasanov told journalists at the opening of the international exhibition of prestigious foreign universities in Baku on Nov. 7.
The Kaspi Educational Center organized an international exhibition of prestigious foreign universities in Baku on Nov. 7. The exhibition is attended by Glasgow University, East Anglia University, INTO, Study Group (UK), Glion University (Switzerland) and Kendall College (USA).
By 2015, up to 5,000 students will study at foreign universities with the support of the state, Azerbaijani Deputy Education Minister Elmar Gasimov told journalists.
He said some 10,000 Azerbaijanis are currently studying abroad and 500 of them via the state program.
