Azerbaijan prints first teen scientific magazine

Azerbaijan, Baku, Nov.23 / Trend News, T.Jafarov /

The first teen scientific magazine Junior has been published in Azerbaijan. The magazine will be printed on the basis of the Junior Science and Vie magazine published in France.

The magazine covers computer games, scientific and technical services, puzzles, crosswords and comics. The magazine's founders are Shamil Najafzade and Khoshgadam Bakhshaliyeva.

Simurq and Vol Publishing Caucasus will publish the magazine.

Azerbaijani Education Minister Misir Mardanov said at the magazine's presentation that the fall in readers today is a negative social feature. He expressed confidence that the magazine will play a significant role in educating and increasing the knowledge of schoolchildren.

"There are various resources, such as Internet and television, to educate children. Nevertheless, nothing can replace books and magazines," Mardanov said.

Junior Sciense and Vie magazine Editor-In-Chief Lopus Junier and International Publications Association Chief Marius Bjelius participated in the presentation.

Junior Sciense and Vie has been published in France 20 years. The magazine has been published in Georgia in Georgian for one year.
