Iran’s Embassy presents its condolences to Azerbaijani people on occasion of Ashura Day

The Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan presented its condolences to Azerbaijani Government and people on the occasion of the Ashura Day.

"The Day of Ashura is a day of self-sacrifice for the sake of defence of the Islamic faith. Undoubtedly, the sorrow for Imam Hussain and Kerbala martyrs targets protecting Islam and the Imamate, and their extolling," the embassy wrote in a letter sent to Trend News.

"The Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan on this great mourning event presents condolences to dear and devout Azerbaijani people," the letter said.
