Azerbaijani prosecutor demands sentence to accused of smuggling drugs from Iran

A trial was held on persons accused of smuggling drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan. The prosecutor, who made a speech at the Court on Heinous Crimes today, demanded 15 years imprisonment to the citizen of Azerbaijan Elkhan Guliyev, the citizens of Iran Kamrani Mansour Mohsen, Shahravan Kerim Ordu and his brother Shahravanu Rahim Ordu.
The court will declare the sentence on Dec. 30.

Upon the order of Elkhan Guliyev, Mansour Kamrani passed to Rahim and Karim Shahravani the drugs, which they brought through the Bilasuvar checkpoint.  
They were detained by the Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan in Baku's Bilajari settlement. Three kilograms of opium, more than two kilograms of hashish and 800 grams of heroin were discovered from their car.
