Trend News: Azerbaijan sentences individual accused of rape

Azerbaijan sentenced today an individual accused of raping a 10-year-old child.

The Baku Heinous Crimes Court sentenced Beylagan region resident Vahid Imanov to nine years imprisonment.

He was charged with 150.3.3 (violent actions of sexual nature committed wittingly against a person under age of 14) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.

Imanov was arrested after the victim's parents complained to the authorities in August 2009.
