As of April 1, about 10,192 people get pensions in Azerbaijan. The average pension of civil servants is 320.34 manat, Head of the Public Relations Department of the State Social Protection Fund Elman Babayev said.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev founded June 23 as a professional holiday for civil servants by the decree dated May 25, 2006. Employees of state structures got certain privileges in many areas, including pensions.
As of April 1, Azerbaijan registered 1,301,700 pensioners.
