The agreement will be signed between Archeology Institutes of Azerbaijan and Germany as a result of the international archeological conference Azerbaijan as Bridge between East and West launched in Baku on April 1. The conference will continue its activity on April 2.
Head of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences Mahmud Kerimov, director of Azerbaijani Archeology Institute Maisa Rahimova, ambassador of Germany to Azerbaijan Per Stankina, German deputy foreign minister Gernot Erler attended at the conference on April 1.
The conference is organized by the Azerbaijani Archeology Institute and German embassy in Baku.
Deputy Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany Gernot Erler is on visit in Baku from March 31 to April 3. The meetings were held with Speaker of the Milli Majlis Oktay Asadov, Deputy Foreign Minister Halaf Halafov, as well as representatives of opposition parties within the visit.
