The Azerbaijani Football Federations Association (AFFA) fights with false reduction of age. AFFA takes appropriate decisions and imposes sanctions when such cases occur.
AFFA reported its latest monitoring revealed some football players of the National U-19 girls' football team, who wrongly indicated birthdays in birth certificates.
These players took part in the first qualifying round of the European U-19 Championship and were qualified for Women's Under 19 Elite Round. Although our national U-19 (girl) football team received the right to play at Women's Under 19 Elite Round, respecting the FAIR PLAY rules and its rivals, AFFA sent a letter to UEFA to refuse to play at Women's Under 19 Elite Round.
AFFA continues its monitoring and will take appropriate decisions.
The AFFA did not mention the names as the investigation is ongoing.
