Iran is ready to negotiate with the West on the nuclear problem without any preliminary terms, a high-ranking Iranian representative said on August 18.
"A discussion without preliminary terms - that is Iran's basic position for talks on the nuclear problem," an Iranian representative in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said. Iranian state television cited his words, RIA-Novosti said.
The USA and several other western countries accuse Iran of designing nuclear weapon under cover of a peaceful atomic program. Tehran denies these accusations stating that its nuclear program is aimed at meeting Iran's electrical power needs.
