Azerbaijani president attends opening of a cement plant in Baku
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of Norm cement plant in Garadagh District of Baku.
The president was familiarized with the laboratory and control room and informed about the country's cement market and the plant itself.
Economy and Industry Minister Shahin Mustafayev said the production capacity of the facility is 5,000 tonnes of clinker per day and two million tonnes of cement per year. The plant employs 350 people.
Azerbaijan announces receiving investment projects for Khizi region development
The National Entrepreneurship Support Fund under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy and Industry has begun receiving the investment projects on the priority areas of Khizi region development from the entrepreneurs.
The process of receiving the entrepreneurs' proposals was found expedient to finance investment projects for the creation of small livestock and bee farms (including honey production enterprises), small enterprises producing cheese, plastic windows, and doors.

Azerbaijan, Iran to sign new agreement in ICT sphere
Azerbaijan and Iran will sign a new agreement on cooperation in the spheres of communications and information and communications technologies (ICT) in the near future.
The remarks were made during the meeting between the Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mohsen Pak Ayeen and Azerbaijan's Minister of Communications and High Technologies, Ali Abbasov.
Moreover, Pak Ayeen drew the minister's attention to the importance of developing the cooperation between the two countries' companies operating in the private sector.
The ambassador went on to add that an Iranian delegation, consisting of the representatives of companies operating in the ICT sphere, will visit Baku in the near future, to hold negotiations with the Azerbaijani companies.
Azerbaijani president reviews construction at Baku Olympic Stadium
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has reviewed the progress of construction at the Baku Olympic Stadium.
The president also reviewed the construction of the Hasan Aliyev Street-Ziya Bunyadov Avenue-Olympic Stadium highway.
President Aliyev was informed of the construction of road junctions and pedestrian crossings on a M4 18km Bilgah-Novkhani-Shamakhi highway.

Azerbaijani business spent 55% of concessional financing for 2014
The National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support (NFES) under the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan has allocated a loan in the amount of 14.3 million AZN on favorable terms to the 22 business entities of Baku`s Sabunchu district, the ministry reported.
It is planned to open about 140 new jobs opportunities through implementation of this projects for these funds.
Loans will be focused mainly on the development of animal husbandry, construction of logistics center, production of furniture, shoes, plastic windows and doors, etc.
