Iran's exports to Azerbaijan fall by 15 percent

Iran has exported $151.445 million worth of goods to Azerbaijan during the 4-month period from March 21, which indicates a fall by 15.09 percent compared to the same months of the preceding year (Iran's fiscal year starts on March 21).

Iran exported some 915,800 tonnes of goods to Azerbaijan during that period which is 5.94 percent less compared the 4-month period of last year, the Iranian Customs Administration said in its latest monthly report released.

Iran also imported some $ 10.024 million worth of goods from Azerbaijan during the period, 65.68 percent more than the last fiscal year's first four months.

Iran-Azerbaijan trade balance, stood at $141.42 million in the 4-month period, compared to $170.95 million in the same period of preceding year.

Iran has exported 195,264 tonnes of goods, worth $38 million to Azerbaijan during the 4th Iranian calendar month of Tir (June 22 -July 23) which indicates a fall of 3.05 percent in terms of volume and 19.15 percent in terms of value respectively compared to the same period of last year. Azerbaijan's exports to Iran stood at $916,000 in the same month.

Iran's trade balance with Azerbaijan stood at $450 million in the previous Iranian fiscal year, which ended on March 20.

Iran Customs administration reported that the country's exports to Azerbaijan surpassed $482 million, meanwhile Tehran imported $32 million worth of goods from Baku in the mentioned period. Iran's total non-oil exports (including gas condensates) to foreign countries surpassed $16.1 billion during the 4-month period from March 21, which indicates an increase by 21.14 percent compared to the same months of the preceding year.

Tehran also imported about $17.655 billion worth of goods during the period, which indicates a rise by 35.78 percent, compared to the 4-month period of the preceding year (21 March, 2013 to 22 July 2013).
