SOCAR signs two documents with Bulgaria's gas companies

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Bulgaria's Bulgargaz have signed a protocol of intentions in Baku.

The document was signed by the President of SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev and head of the Board of Directors of Bulgargaz, Botyo Velinov.

Additionally, a memorandum of understanding was signed between SOCAR and Bulgartransgaz. The document was signed by Rovnag Abdullayev and CEO of Bulgartransgaz, Kirill Temelkov.

Previously, Bulgarian media reported that the country plans to start importing 200-300 million cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan per year from 2016. It is expected that the final investment decision to construct a gas grid inter-connector between Greece and Bulgaria will be adopted in autumn of 2014. It is planned to complete the construction of the gas grid inter-connector by 2016.

TAP receives Independent Natural Gas System license from Greek Regulatory Authority

Greece's Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) granted Trans Adriatic Pipeline AG (TAP) a license for an Independent Natural Gas System (INGS).

The license refers to the Greek section of the project. The term of the license is 50 years.

The TAP project was selected by the consortium of Azerbaijani Shah Deniz field development as the transportation route to the European markets.

Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan discussed aspects of cooperation in energy sphere

The president of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov and the head of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) have discussed different aspects of cooperation in strategic energy sphere during their meeting in Ashgabad, Turkmenistan, Altin Asir TV channel reported.

There was also discussion of cooperation within the confines of the widescale projects in Turkmenistan, demanded both in the internal and external market, including oil-gas processing and fuels and lubricants production areas, held during the meeting.

Ukraine begins to supply equipment for base field of Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline

Ukrainian Sum NGO after M.V. Frunze JSC started sending sections of the process heaters for the Bagtiyarlik oil and gas complex in Turkmenistan, the company said.

Shipment is carried out under the contract with the Petro Gas LLP Corporation (UK), which conducts work on Bagtiyarlik since 2013, the source of raw material for the supply of Turkmen gas to China.
