Oil prices and dynamics of monetary market of Azerbaijan (Feb. 16-20)

Oil market

The average price for AZERI LT, exported from Azerbaijan via the Ceyhan, Batumi and Supsa ports to Italian Augusta port, was $63.6 per barrel on Feb. 16-20 or by $3.34 more than the previous week.

The maximum price for AZERI LT was $64.53 per barrel and the minimum price was $61.89 per barrel during the reporting period.

The average price on Urals (Ex-Novo) exported from Azerbaijan via the Novorossiysk port stood at $58.85 per barrel or by $3.26 per barrel more than the previous week.

The maximum price for Urals totaled $60.83 per barrel and the minimum - $56.91 per barrel.

Urals' density is 32 degrees API with sulfur content up to 1.3 percent. The oil grade's specifications vary when sold depending on its high/low-quality content.

The average price for Brent Dated was $60.32 per barrel or by $3.63 per barrel more than the previous week.

The maximum price on Brent was $61.2 per barrel and the minimum - $58.59 during the reporting period.

Currency market

The official rate of AZN to the US dollar set by the Azerbaijani Central Bank (CBA) fell by 0.0014 percentage points (0.18 percent) last week. Accordingly, the average rate was established at 0.7855 AZN to 1 US dollar.

During the week, the official rate of AZN against the euro, set by the CBA consolidated by 0.0028 percentage points (0.84 percent). Accordingly, the average weighted rate was set at 0.89486 AZN for 1 euro.

Last week, the price of one ounce of gold decreased by 16.2311 AZN (1.7 percent). Accordingly, the average weighted price of gold amounted to 956.19908 AZN.

Trading at Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BBVB) has not been carried out since the beginning of the year, so the exchange rate of AZN is not formed.
