Equipment imported to Azerbaijan for steel production complex exempt from VAT
The goods and equipment imported to Azerbaijan by Azerbaijan Steel Production Complex CJSC have been exempt from VAT till Jan.1, 2019.
The relevant amendment to the 'List of imported goods which are exempt from VAT' was approved by the country's Cabinet of Ministers dated Mar.10, 2015.
The goods and equipment imported to the country for the construction of the steel production complex, are exempt from VAT, according to the message posted on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers. The complex for steel production will cover all the stages from the production of the iron ore to the production of steel.
Azerbaijan Steel Production Complex was created in accordance with the order of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev dated April 23, 2013.
Azerbaijan Steel Production Complex is a closed joint-stock company that carries out the designing, construction and management of the complex for steel production in Ganja and Dashkasan. It covers all the stages from the production of iron ore to the steel production, using new technologies in this sphere, modernization of the material and technical base and its effective use, as well as the other work related to the development of this sphere.
