Azerbaijan commissions new well on West Chirag

BP has completed all the work on the commissioning of a new well on the block of offshore fields Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, a source on the oil and gas market of Azerbaijan said.

"Well J08 has been drilled and put into operation," said the source. "The first oil has been produced at it. The new well will further increase the efficiency of production from the platform, which is 11.8 percent more than was planned."

Intertek awarded pipe inspection contract for TANAP pipeline

Intertek, a leading quality solutions provider to industries worldwide, was recently awarded a two-year contract by Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline to provide quality assurance, technical inspection and pipe testing services during manufacture of the line pipe in Turkey, said the message posted on the company's website.

Drilling contractor of large oil, gas deposit defined in Kazakhstan

KMG Nabors Drilling Company LLP will carry out drilling work at the Tengiz field in Kazakhstan, said the message of the Kazakh national oil and gas company KazMunayGas (KMG). The new joint venture (JV) on drilling was created by KMG Drilling & Services LLP (subsidiary of KMG) and Nabors Drilling International Ltd (the world leader in oil and gas drilling). "The creation of the joint venture will allow increasing the Kazakh content, adopting experience, technologies and Nabors management system, and working efficiently in the long run on large oil and gas projects in Kazakhstan as a drilling contractor," the message said.

S&P forecasts deterioration of KazMunayGas liquidity

Standard & Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'BB+' long-term corporate credit ratings on Kazakhstan-government-controlled vertically integrated oil company KazMunayGas NC JSC (KMG) and its core subsidiary KazMunaiGas Exploration Production JSC (KMG EP), said the message of the rating agency. The outlook "negative".
