The agricultural production volume in actual prices amounted to 4.81 billion manat in Azerbaijan in January-September 2015 or by 11.6 percent more compared to the same period of last year. According to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee's report as of eight months, during this period the livestock production increased by 2.5 percent, crop production - by 10.4 percent.
The main plant products are being collected in the country. As of October 1, 2015, some 2.782 million tons of grain were collected in Azerbaijan from a 914,000-hectare-territory (99.9 percent of the total sown area of grain and leguminous crops (except wheat), which is 27.7 percent more than in the same period of 2014.
On average, some 30.4 centners were collected from each hectare. The total yield increased by 7.6 centners.
High yield is also observed in the corn collection. Thus, the average yield per hectare increased by 6.7 centners and reached 59.1 quintals compared to the same period of last year. Some 168,200 tons of corn were collected from the 28,500 hectare-territory (78.1 percent of the total cultivated area).
The farms produced 1.125 million tons of vegetables, 808,900 tons of potatoes, 439,900 tons melons and gourds, 532,400 tons of fruits and berries, 106,100 tons of grapes, 29,100 tons of sugar beet , 404.2 tons of tea leaves, 19,800 tons of fodder sunflower and 2,200 tons of tobacco leaves.
The production of grapes increased by 1.7 percent, fodder sunflower - by 11.8 percent, melons and gourds - 2.9 percent, fruits and berries - by 0.4 percent, the production of tea leaves decreased by 14.8 percent, tobacco - by 16.2 percent, sugar beet - 16 percent, potatoes - 17.8 percent and vegetables - by 1.1 percent compared to the same period of last year.

The relevant work for getting harvest in 2016 was also conducted in the farms. Some 466,900 hectares were plowed for autumn sowing, which is 4 percent more than in the same period of last year.
So, the production of meat hit 331,400 metric tons (live weight), milk - 1.47 million metric tons, 16,500 metric tons of wool and 1.16 billion eggs in January-September 2015.
Meat production increased by 2 percent, milk - by 3.8 percent, wool - 1.6 percent, eggs reduced by 0.6 percent in the country during this period compared to January-September 2014.
