BP chooses contractor for offshore works in Azerbaijan

The British company Wood Group won a new five-year contract with the BP-operated projects, valued at $500 million, to deliver services to eight facilities offshore Azerbaijan, read a Wood Group message.

"Effective immediately, Wood Group PSN (WGPSN) will provide engineering, procurement and construction management services (EPCM) under the contract, which has the option of two two-year extensions," according to the message.

"WGPSN will support the following platforms: Chirag, Central Azeri, East Azeri, West Azeri, Deep Water Gunashli and Shah Deniz Stage 1," read the message.

Azerbaijan, Pakistan to co-op in oil, gas supplies

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources of Pakistan and the Ministry of Energy of the Azerbaijan have agreed for signing of an intergovernmental agreement which will aim at cooperation in the supply of crude, refined oil products, LPG and LNG, Pakistani media outlets reported. The agreement was reached within the two-day 6th Session of Azerbaijan-Pakistan joint commission at governmental commission level.

SOCAR would execute the activities hereunder through SOCAR Trading S.A., which is SOCAR's wholly owned affiliate.
