The Azerbaijani state budget was executed with a surplus in January-February 2017.
Azerbaijan’s state budget revenues reached 2,370.5 million manat, while expenses – 2,191.7 million manat in January-February 2017, the country’s State Statistics Committee said citing the finance ministry.
The revenues of the Azerbaijani state budget for 2017 were set in the amount of 16.255 billion manat, while expenses - 16.9 billion manat. Budget forecasts are formed on the basis of the oil price at $40 per barrel.
As a result, the state budget deficit was estimated at 178.8 million manat.

The country’s State Customs Committee transferred almost 347.6 million manat to the state budget in January-February 2017, which is by 42.9 percent more than in the same period of 2016.
The State Customs Committee transferred almost 174 million manat to the state budget in February 2017.
Some 44.2 million manat account for customs duties, 124.6 million manat - VAT, 2.7 million manat - excise and 2.1 million manat - road tax.
The country’s State Customs Committee increased the customs duties by 11.5 percent compared to February 2016. VAT receipts increased by 28.85 percent, excise receipts - by 2.5 times, while road tax receipts decreased by 4.5 percent.
The forecast on customs revenues to the Azerbaijani state budget for 2017 is 2.2 billion manat.
The country’s Ministry of Taxes transferred almost 939.14 million manat to the state budget in January-February 2017, which by 5.2 percent more than the forecast.
During the reporting period, the Ministry of Taxes registered 68,172 taxpayers, 492 of them are VAT payers.
The revenues worth 7.51 billion manat are expected to be obtained through the Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes in 2017, which is 46.2 percent of the total budget revenues.
