Azerbaijan’s state budget revenues reached 5,021.9 million manat, while expenses – 5.390 million manat in January-April 2017, the country’s finance ministry said.

As a result, the state budget deficit was estimated at 368.1 million manat.

As of May 1, the budget deficit was equivalent to 1.8 percent of GDP (20,139.8 million manat).

The country’s Ministry of Taxes transferred almost 2.3 billion manat to the state budget in January-April 2017, which by 6.3 percent more than the forecast.

The revenues worth 7.51 billion manat are expected to be obtained through the Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes in 2017, which is 46.2 percent of the total budget revenues.

The country’s State Customs Committee transferred almost 758.1 million manat to the state budget in January-April 2017, which is by 17.7 percent more than in the same period of 2016.

The State Customs Committee transferred almost 187 million manat to the state budget in April 2017.

Some 56.6 million manat account for customs duties, 120.1 million manat - VAT, 7.7 million manat - excise and 2.6 million manat - road tax.

The country’s State Customs Committee increased the customs duties by 4.4 percent in April 2017 compared to April 2016. VAT receipts decreased by 17.5 percent, excise receipts - by twofold, while road tax receipts - by 4.6 percent.

The forecast on customs revenues to the Azerbaijani state budget for 2017 is 2.2 billion manat.
